Marc
Awesome!I love the new look. I love the fact that I can browse at bigger than 800 pixels wide haha, I made it wider than 800px just for you . I remembered the angst from the last version. Again glad you guys like it, I'll be digging around for the missing avatars as soon as I have a chance. Cheers Marc edit: found em!
Marc
Alright everyone the wiki is back up. I'm sure you'll all be pleased to note that your login to the wiki (and the main site actually) is linked to the forum. One login for all. All members can edit wiki pages now, no more editors group. Have fun .

Vormav
Nice update. It's pretty slick. EDIT: A few quick issues I noticed: Even when I login with the "remember me" option checked, I'm having to re-login every time I come back to the site. Also, though it's a useless feature and really isn't important at all, the "your last visit was:" notification on the main page of the forum never displays anything. It looks like the colon that is used for that notifaction sticks around on every page, too, even where the notification isn't displayed. But those are just minor little things. Yeah, the 'your last visit etc.' stuff disappeared while I was making the skin. No idea why though, but yeah.. it's minor. As for the logging in problem, that's kind of annoying. Could you try and delete all 'odforce' cookies and see if that helps? I've had some weird cookie errors before. If not then let me know. Thanks Marc

digitallysane
Welcome back and thank you for the efforts. I'm probably the only one who's not that enthusiastic about the new visuals, but on the other hand I'm much more interested about the content and features, and it seems the foundations are laid for big advances in this area, which is great. As for bugs/criticism (yeah, the part I like): the links at the top (My controls, View new posts etc.) have a strange relationship with the odforce logo, especially if the width of the window is around 900px or lower. If you ask me, I think the logo can live very well to the left instead of center. There also some dead links in the Wiki section, like the links to the old H6 videos and Jason's shader tutorials. symek
Mark, it seems to me that odforce got litte darker! Much better for my eyes! Thanks!

It definitely was a concern that there are so many option menus with the forum (and where to put them)... but I don't think it's enough of a problem for the majority of the people who visit here to make it high on our list of things to fix . As for the wiki downloads, yeah those will be restored in the next few days. Thanks Marc
GallenWolf
Hey guys! Great work updating the site! Love the new look. Question, is the Codex and tutorials stuff available for download somewhere? I'd hate to go through the internet archive :-) Thanks!
Marc
At the moment, no. The codex is going to remain offline indefinitely, basically until we can figure out a way that offers something more than the exchange does. As for the tutorials, well most of them are ancient and therefore no good anymore and we'll be looking into updating and releasing some of the more relevant ones. If there's anything you need from either of those then let me know and I can send it to you. Additionally if there's any tutorial you feel like updating for us then let me know too . Thanks Marc

Thanks Marc Would it be possible to have the codex available as an archive? There are some excellent shaders in there amongst other things that are certainly relevant to current Houdini releases. Alternatively, how difficult would it be to at least tar up the shaders and post to a new forum thread so that those of us who want them can grab them? john
