zasid
Thank you for the response.Yes I have checked it this involves too much maths and my scene is very simple.I have pretty much achieved what I wanted by playing with the shader however.I will make a new post to solve my last problem.Thank you. Using a Glass material with "Cone Angle" for blurred refractions might get you further. Take a look at this thread.. http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com...pic&t=11000 I started on a look but I ran into a couple of (easily solveable) issues. Basically, make sure you're on the latest 9.1 build and either render with the Raytrace engine, or Micropolygon engine but you'll have to bump up the number of Min Ray Samples to fight the noise. Hello Jason, Thank you very much for the response and taking my issue further on the houdini forum issues to trace the bug.Basically I am a very basic user of houdini. So I really cannot figure out what you exactly mean here.I did had tried it with glass shader but this translucents shader worked for me.It will be very helpful if you can post your hip file so that not only me but others should benefit and learn from it. Thanks.
