Netvudu
Will have to buy this one...but being DT I would bet beginner, Jason
anamous
I bought this one yesterday, and yes, it is an introduction (as the name states). It does delve into interesting topics like AOVs, PBR final gather and caustic tips&tricks, and does a good job in explaining the concepts. It gives you a good idea of what you can do, and starting points for doing it. But Mantra is such a deeply intertwined rabbit hole that you can't expect an introduction to show off even one tenth of the interesting aspects - specially VEX, procedurals, and advanced GI/PBR. All in all, I would recommend it for people who want an overview of the options that Mantra offers - I actually bought it to show it to new artists and those coming from different software packages, so that I don't need to answer questions such as "how do I get multiple bounces?" cheers, Abdelkareem

symek
i might gonna give it a shot, it doesn.t hurt anyways thanks DT I agree that for a fresh guy it's worth to try. It would take quite a few weeks to cover all of these details by your self. On the over hand it does not go beyond Help even a bit. As usual with DT.
