  1. Hi, Say there were an existing hip with hdaAsset::1.0 used multiple times throughout various node graphs inside. hdaAsset is now in version ::2:0 and there's been a parameter name change, say from 'inputFloat' to 'inputF'. Would there be a way, upon hip load, to catch that? Maybe an event handler script with a condition in there for that hdaAsset::1.0 node type and parm? The goal is to read the connectors of all hdaAsset::1.0 instanced before the assets gets synced to ::2.0 upon scene load and then wire them into the newly named 'inputF' after sync. Manual rewiring of broken node graphs avoided. Everybody happy. Or, looked at differently, prevent hda sync to the latest version for that particular node type definition, just so the connectors would stay in place. Has anybody dealt with something like that before? Thanks, Hristo
  2. Hey guys, Got an issue that's driving me crazy. I have a scene on my machine, that looks in a certain size, but when I try to send to an online farm or client machine, seems that the size/scale changed. My scene: When I send to the client / farm they see this: I got an fbx camera, I thought it was that, so I tried to using an alembic cam instead, same issue. I also tried converting the scaled geo (0.01) to 1, and issue is still there, not sure what can be causing this, if anybody got a idea of what can I try, will be super appreciated. Thanks
  3. Hello Shortly: How to update cloth every frame based on changing topology? I'm trying to make cloth burn effect using spreading attribute to delete polygons, however I can't get the cloth to update simulation every frame based on deleted polygons. I've been trying to use multi solver for that. Everything is fine untill the very moment when the polygons are being deleted, the simulation of the cloth stops, and the only thing that is happening is the deleteing of polygons. I've found a thread from a few years back of someone who has been doing the same effect, with the same problem, but the answear that seemed to work for him doesn't do it in my case, here is the link to that old topic: link. I also attatch the .hip file of my set up, I added some notes so it would be clearer. I've spent a lot of time playing with diffrent options of the multi solver and sop sop solver but I'm stuck. Any help would be greatly appriciated. 02_cloth_tear_prob.hiplc
  4. Hi, i have a dubt. In the Solver node, there is "Prev_frame" that keeps track of where the object was in previous frame. It's possible to change frame by frame the position in "Prev_frame" using a pointVOP inside the solver? Thanks.
  5. Hey guys, I am really stuck with this one. I was told it is impossible to change the scale of a piece inside of DOPS while it's simulating with the bullet solver. I have achieved something similar where the piece goes into dops, gets out of dops, gets transformed in the scale, and then goes back into the same DOPS sim in a loop. So it creates overtime shrinking. But now I need this to happen inside of DOPS. I´m pretty sure it´s possible. Does anyone have a clue.
