Hey guys, Is there a simple way to disable some particles from the simulation like i'd do with RBD? I have a set of particles inside a group and I need them to be stopped at same position but still interacting with the other particles. Does it makes sense? The group is animated I tried setting v=0 but it doesnt work as expected. I did another trick inside a sop solver to get the position from the previews frame so it stays static but then I cant use the resample. Im just wondering if theres a a simple way like like an attribute the would make them sleep. Cheers, Alvaro

Hi, I try to make my default set up. Then I want to make a auto-enable setting for staticObject node, instead of creating/deleting the node every time. This is because whitewater solver, for instance, makes a strange collision artifact if staticObject node does not get any collision objects from SOP. So far, I tried a enableSolver, switch node with if(nprims(surface)>0, 0, 1), etc. None of them works well. Alternatively I made to insert a dummy object in SOP, then the staticObject takes it to avoid artifact. We could unlock the staticObject node and implement nodes in there, but I want to avoid this way because it causes a file size larger. Does anyone have smart ideas to do auto-enable/bypass staticObject node?

Hi guys, I was wondering if it is there any way to change certain object's parameters depending on whether I'm inside of a subnet or not. Basically my problem is that I have a rendering subnet hda, which allows me to only render stuff that is inside, or referenced inside my subnet. But the issue is that if I have multiple subnets in my network with multiple lights in them, every light is visible in the viewport, making it hard to work with lights, since everything is visible and added together making the entire screen look blown out. I know I can disable the "Enable in Viewport" checkbox on my lights manually, but it would be awesome if it would be possible to only enable that checkbox on my lights when I'm actually inside my subnet and disable them when I go out from it automatically. In case anyone has any ideas on how to achieve this, I would appreciate if someone could nudge me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for any help! Best, Laszlo
