  1. Hello guys, In a DOP context, I tried to expand and resize the density field boundary dynamically, using the "Gas Resize Fluid Dynamic" microsolver, but it didn't work. I guess I have to use an SOP Solver to calculate the final output of the simulation boundary for each frame. Any suggestions about how to resize that boundary dynamically..? Thanks for helping.   2. Hi guys, I wonder, is it possible to generate distance fields out of heightfield masks? I want to create an art directable island and whenever I blur the mask, obviously the the initial shape cannot be maintained. It get's ...washed out. For big islands that's no problem I think, but small islands are tricky, because there is no island left after smoothing So I wonder, is there an easy fix for this using distance fields (like in Substance)?
  3. Hello! I was going to ask how to do this but I figured it out and so I might as well post this in case someone else has the same problem. If you want to source expansion for pyro in houdini 17, we don't have the fluid source node. Instead we have the pyro source. However, there is no expansion option for initialize. I remembered there was a shelf tool that auto-creates the nodes, so I tried it out. As it turns out (and seems confusing to me) you have to use the flip source then choose expand. Back in Dops you can use the volume source node and set it to expand also. Anyway, hope this helps-

  5. I need an advice from you, guys! How the local attributes of PolyExpand2D SOP are to be used? I want to make a non-uniform offset with these inside scale attributes. But I do not know the workflow for this.
