Hi all, As some of you may know I have recently started a youtube channel where I am sharing some techniques, setups and tips. My goal is to first cover some of the fundamental tools/setups and then build more elaborate setups. I wanted to share this with the odforce community too as this community will always have a special place in my heart :). Thank you for watching & have fun learning! orin32167 posted a topic in EffectsHi guys, I am studying Peter Quint classes 'DOPs Force 1,2,3' When I tested it after watching, I found Bullet and Packed object doesn't work correctly, I don't know why. Whenever I take small force to geometries by an Uniform Force DOP, some objects or whole objects don't move anymore after 50 frame. Interestingly, all them work fine to the 50 frame. I think this is a complicated problem because I can make them work correctly by using RBD or giving high value of force or setting low density of mass or not using Uniform Force DOP(Gravity DOP works correctly). I want to use Bullet and Packed geometries. What's the problem and how can I solve this? I attatched my Houdini file. Thanks! test.hip
Hey, I just made a new reel with some of the shots I've worked on over the past years: New showreel for 2014: All effects work is in Houdini, most stuff is rendered in mantra. Of course some of this is a team effort, so I definitely want to give a shout out to all the talented people that have advised me and that I have worked with over the past years. I've grown a lot and it is because of working and learning from some really talented people! Odforce is still one of my favorite forums and a great Houdini community, even though I've not been able to post as much. My H1B visa here in the US is in its final year, so I have to get some perspective again. It can be extended for another 3 years, but we'll see what happens next. At the moment I'm looking for options. I might need to play with the encoding for Vimeo a bit as it seems to lose/blur some details, but I'll figure that out over the weekend. Kind regards, Peter
