Guest mantragora
The Houdini Engine Plug-in for Unity is available on 32-bit Windows. What? Why? How could you do this? When we can expect 64-bit version?

malexander
What? Why? How could you do this? When we can expect 64-bit version? Some quick searching reveals that 64b Unity on Windows is 'very unstable'. So, probably when they clear that up.

AdamJ
If you're getting crashes submit them to support and/or to the Maya or Unity plugins forums.. it'll help devs to track/fix the bugs. Include.. - operating system - maya/unity versions - Houdini version - python version (if any custom installs) /edit (corrected to point to proper forum) *SideFX Labs forum* http://www.sidefx.co...e995a9f5da336ec Edited November 19, 2013 by AdamJ

ken.xu
If you run into crashes, one possible culprit might be other plugins that you have loaded. We could be experiencing dll conflicts with some other plugin that you have. Please try to disable all other plugins if you crash, and then try to load just the houdiniEngine plugin. Let us know if that helps. If so, we would appreciate any information as to which other plugin seemed to be clashing with us - you could do this by progressively loading more plugins, to see which one causes houdiniEngine to crash. The SideFX Labs forum is the best way for us to gather info on the Maya and Unity plug-in issues. Support is focused on supporting customers with Houdini 13 right now. Please be sure to spec out your machine and any other relevant details and our Houdini Engine team will be able to properly access the situation. ken.xu
yeah, crashing with maya 2014 In addition to what was posted earlier - check your environment variables. In particular, check you PATH - it must not contain reference to any other version of Houdini, if Python is in your path, remove it too. Remove any environment variables that start with HOUDINI (or even contains HOUDINI). The less environment variables you have, the better.
