MilanSuk
BulletSOP is implementation of Bullet library (bulletphysics.org) inside SideFx Houdini (sidefx.com). It's a plugin for creating incredibly large rigid body simulations on average PC. The Tool is very powerful, flexible and speed is very impressive as well as memory footprint. The plugin is free and without limits! So you can create truly stunning massive simulations. BulletSOP is compiled for Houdini production builds. It includes many example scenes (beginner -> professional) which are probably the best learning resources. Main features: - Bullet RBD Solver - Support for multiple Broadphases, Constraints Solvers - Loading data from previous frame - Geometry decomposition (Tetrahedra, Voxels) - Static/Animation body - Convex Hull - Compound Hull - Deform static Hull - Primitive Hulls - Constraints (auto-generating, spring, 6DoF) - Collisions Groups - Object Forces - Point Radius Forces - Delete Duplicity data - Instancing - Emitting system - Includes many example scenes for studying - Support for Windows(64bit) and Linux(64bit) - Support for Houdini 12 & 13 Links: Houdini: www.sidefx.com LinkedIn: www.linkedin....Houdini-4796605 More author's videos: vimeo.com/user3251535 Create freely, simulate quickly and enjoy fully! Diego A Grimaldi
I finally got around to testing out the BulletSOP, I'm blown away! It's absolutely amazing! I'm sad I didn't use it for previous projects! Awesome tool Milan!! I'll upload some tests soon
hatrick
greenhorntrouble: Installing the compiled tool does not work for me. Could this be caused by using H vc11 instead of vc9? V13.0.314 Win 7 64bit Thank you SOLVED! using vc9 works Edited February 13, 2014 by hatrick
Diego A Grimaldi
Hey there! I was wondering if there is a way to have an object fracturing multiple times or re-fracturing, kinda like what the "Make Breakable" tool in Houdini allows you to do, but with the BulletSOP. Hope I was clear enough. Thanks
MilanSuk
Hey there! I was wondering if there is a way to have an object fracturing multiple times or re-fracturing, kinda like what the "Make Breakable" tool in Houdini allows you to do, but with the BulletSOP. Hope I was clear enough. Thanks In example file You can find it in "Advance/voronoi_impact_break". It's auto-fracturing pipeline, which mainly includes standard sop nodes, so It can be easy customize!
Diego A Grimaldi
I see. Is there a way to do it with prefracturing?
MilanSuk
I see. Is there a way to do it with prefracturing? Just apply voronoi fracture on input geometry. It will work!

MilanSuk
Hi. Milan Suk. Is BulletSOP of VC9 not work on houdini VC11. It is work well on houdini 12.5 vc9, but i do the same on houdini13.0314 VC11, it just not working. Please help ! Thanks! Yes, VC9 is not working on VC11! Can I ask Why do you use Houdini 13 VC11 and not VC9? If SideFX add VC11 on this page I will support it. And VC9 will no longer be supported! wateryfield
Forgive my stupidity. I was download the houdini VC11 form : http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_download&Itemid=208 For now i found no different between VC9 and VC11. But it will be great if there is a VC11 version. or i will install the VC9 houdini. Thanks for your reply and the BulletSOP was amazing ! MilanSuk
Few News: - I created BulletSOP private GitHub project, so all whose bought source code have now better way how to contribute! - for Windows users: I switch to vc11(VS 2012) so next BulletSOP versions will be only for this compiler version. Also Houdini 12.5 will not be supported(If you buy source code, you can compile it for your self with VS2008). edit: I just realize that I still have older laptop with VS2008, so I think that H12.5 will be supported! XRM
Hi Milan, Hope you are doing fine man. Its been a long time I've tried BulletSOP. So I searched for the updated version. But to my utter disappointment the link that you've provided for 2.0.11 is not working
