Ben Mears
I thought this video by Seb Potter showing his procedural workflow for creating and populating low poly trees was pretty cool. https://youtu.be/006iPuxJyV0

acey195
Those trees would have made a nice beginner tutorial, if he would have actually explained how he had set up the procedure. But I agree Konstantin, yours is more impressive, and glad I had German at school at one point Here's mine related to the Houdini Engine (when it was still in beta): I have some more videos on my youtube channel for those who are interested, I'll link them if requested Though the one above is the only one where I attempted to operate my vocal chords
konstantin magnus
@twan: your YT videos definitely belong here, i think! my german mumbling in this video might not be the best source of education, anyways. i just recorded it for a remote friend of mine who is into programming. out of interest: are there actually any jobs related to "procedural game modeling with houdini" yet? Ben Mears
Thanks for sharing your feedback and videos. There's definitely procedural game modeling jobs and they're becoming more common as more and more game studios start using Houdini in their pipelines. Sunset Overdrive by Insomniac Games is a good example, they used Houdini to model the rail system that's used predominately in the game. Yes, as Ben Mentioned, but also in Europe, I work in games myself, its starting to take off some more videos Uv generator in H13 (sort of outdated with the new UV stuff in H14, may revisit this): some simple world generation in Houdini Engine: some AI path generation using Houdin and my Unity Importer Edited July 3, 2015 by acey195
AaronAb
hmm, i find my old procedural modelling stuff a bit cooler ; ) Very impressive, never in my life have I wished so strongly I could understand German. Seriously though, you should do some tutorials and put them up on Gumroad. I am sure they would sell
