goertzFX
I've been trying to create a beer simulation with foam, although when the cup moves the particles collapse in on themselves and fall out of the bottom of the RBD object. There doesn't seem to be any problems when the glass gets filled up, just when it starts to move. I thought it had to do with particle separation and sub-steps, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Any help would be appreciated! beerTest_v016.hipnc beerSimulation_help.mov Edited February 25, 2016 by goertzFX
chrisdunham95
far from expert but an idea man; perhaps try caching out your moving collision from the glass first then running the overall sim' - in your hip file theirs no temporary collision cache i dont think! Fyre
These also may be very basic suggestion and you may have tried them already, but if not try things like higher resolution geo, more substeps on the solver and the dopnet, if the geo is alembic - subframes may be something to look at.
