art3mis
Hi Reading about RealFlow and apparently it has something called the dyverso solver which allows you to target the gpu when creating your sims (not rendering). In flip or pyro sims there is the option to enable opencl. Does this mean the sim will be entirely processed on the GPU? Sepu
Pyro, Flip and other solver they have and check box, use OPEN CL which use the GPU for some operations. They aren't completely ready to use the full power of GPU bit it will give sometimes some nice speed ups.
art3mis
Ok good to know! I assume this (OpenCL enabled) is strictly a Linux or Windows option?
lukeiamyourfather
The state of graphics drivers and graphics hardware on Mac is now and always has been a crapshoot. The little trash can Mac Pro models will be the most likely to work. If the option is there in the solver then give it a shot. Save the file before you try it!
