Masoud
Hi guys; I need to export my camera and a grid (as a reference) from Houdini to After Effects. Is there any practical solution? I tried a digital asset from this like: But it doesn't work properly ... Thanks for helping.
LaidlawFX
If you have Maya. Going from Houdini to Maya to AE works well. You could write out an .ma camera in python from Houdini, but it be a bit of work.
flcc
Same with C4D. A free version of C4d is available with the AE license. In ae you get lights, cameras, and even tagged objects as null or solids. Edited April 29, 2019 by flcc
bonsak
Export your scene as FBX from Houdini. That will include cameras, lights and object animation. Bring it into AE via C4D like @flcc said. Make sure to include Camera when you import your FBX into C4D. -b
Midphase
What do you mean "it doesn't work properly" exactly? I've been using it for a huge project (over 200 vex shots) that I just finished and it worked pretty flawlessly for me.
