Werner
Non mathematical way. I'm sure there are much better ways to do this, but it might get you thinking. prim.mp4 prim.hipnc
konstantin magnus
Hi Ivan, you could extrude each tile of a grid inwards and upwards. Then randomly offset the tips and twist opposing diagonals a little. pyramid_tiles.hipnc 3

Aizatulin
Nice approach Konstantin ! I've taking your example and modified it a bit. For me it looks like, that (in matt shlians "reliefs") the straight lines changes the direction after every row/column, so it looks like, that the straight lines are defining rhombi. So the other thing might be, that the main random direction should be along the straight lines and the probability that a point is near the center is lower. This just my personal view. If someone is interested here is my file but the main idea is from Konstantin. pyramid_grid.hipnc Edited July 31, 2019 by Aizatulin
