tagosaku
Hi, I installed image magick, in order to use an exporting mp4 flipbook. However, under a certain condition, exporting ffmpeg mp4 returns the error like a screenshot. Then I randomly had to change values of res or frame ranges, etc., to get through encode. If that is still not working, I have to choose Windows avi format. Thus, can anyone explain what's the exact reason and how to fix the problem? Are there a certain resolution limit and have to choose specific aspect ratios? Thanks!

tagosaku
Yeah, the image magick is installed to Windows, then houdini configures it. That's my understanding. Small rez and simple scene have mostly succeeded to create mp4 videos, so want to know what condition causes encode error . tagosaku
it seems that FFMPEG can take only even number resolutions, and odd number res crashes the output. For instance 1920 x 1200 should work but 1920 x 1201 does crash. Hopefully this info helps other artists, too!
