Arthur Spooner
I've been away from Houdini for a while, and I'm having an issue with a FEM Setup. Following this tutorial at this point; the sphere simulates although in my scene (attachment) the sphere just simulates between frames 0-1 ? Arthur Spooner
I made some progress on this tutorial, although in the tutorial the femsolidobject is used but when I use that dopnet node I get a warning; there are 3042 triangles with nonpositive mass density there are 3042 triangles with nonpositive thickness What is the reason for this error with this dopnet node ? Although when I use the femhybridobject it works more similar to that in the tutorial, not exactly but close.
ryew
As tamagochy said, it's an outdated system and a lot has changed within Houdini in the past 3+ years since that tutorial and it's very likely the DOP nodes have changed through the newer Houdini versions since then so things won't work the same as when that was recorded. I generally don't put much faith in Houdini DOP tutorials that are more than a couple versions old these days
