MIguel P
I'm very happy with H9. I really like the fluids and the way they work. The volume renderer is also really cool. Here's my first smoke render It's not a big thing, but I'm so happy... fluidsmoke1_divx.avi Edited July 13, 2007 by MIguel P
sanostol
Hi Miguel, great to see!! what are the rendertimes and simulationtimes? martin PS: looks very good
MIguel P
Thank you Martin. I don't know exactly the times... a couple of minutes the simulation and around 1 hour the render, I think.
TheUsualAlex
nice smoke. The new volume primitive is pretty nice, eh?
stevenong
Nice one Miguel! Yes, the volume renderer is pretty awesome. Cheers! steven

aqy
Miguel, very interestingly, can you explain as to do fluids by more noisy. In my tests a structure of fluids very flat and uniform.
MIguel P
Thanks guys. Well, I think are similar to sprites, but you can change the step size so the velocity or the quality can be increased. Miguel, very interestingly, can you explain as to do fluids by more noisy. In my tests a structure of fluids very flat and uniform. Use the Gas Vorticle Force with the Gas Vorticle Geometry in DOPs. You can change the magnitude to increase the effect.

crunch
Miguel, very interestingly, can you explain as to do fluids by more noisy. In my tests a structure of fluids very flat and uniform. Try putting a displacement shader on the object. If you use the fractal dent, make sure to do 3D displacements (rather than displace along normal). aqy
hm-m-m, yes, crunch, its working too! cool, big thanks. Edited July 13, 2007 by aqy
dbukovec
Hi Miguel! nice work again! Can You perhaps make a tutorial from the rocket maybe?
MIguel P
Hi Miguel! nice work again! Can You perhaps make a tutorial from the rocket maybe? Thanks. But this isn't too much for doing a tutorial... maybe some more advanced... By the way, the rocket smoke is not fluids, just volume spheres copied onto particles. T-bat
Nice Can I ask you the Smoke Object Divisions and Size settings of the first one?
MIguel P
Nice Can I ask you the Smoke Object Divisions and Size settings of the first one? I can't be sure because I modified the scene, but I think it was a container of size 7, 6, 6 and divisions set to 63*54*
