Marc
Very cool guys... now get back to work hehe...
anakin78z
Work, uhh, right... but first, check this one out make sure both files are in the same directory. It seems to only work if you're displaying both the chop viewer and the obj network view at the same time. chopnodes.zip
Wolfwood
Whoa....super fun game. Select the bottom of a node, then hit play....now try to connect that node to a different node.
capinXcrunch
How the heck did you get that picture to be displayed with nodes? I know you can change the colour of a node by pressing "c" in the network editor pane, but did you sit there and painstakingly change each node tile to represent your avatar or did you just write a script or something? Pretty cool either way. cheers -capin_crunch
Wolfwood
I'm gussing that anakin78z created a grid of Ops then used the tex() expression to get the color. for y = 0 to 50 step 1 for x = 0 to 50 step
anakin78z
well, I WAS going to say that I painstakingly colored 2500 nodes myself, but since Wolfwood let the cat out of the bag, I guess I'll admit that I used a script very similar to his. After all, there's only a limited amount of colors to choose from when hitting 'c' in the network view, but using opcolor, you can use all the colors in the rainbow
Wolfwood
*sniff sniff* I'm sorry, I should know better than to let a cat out of a bag. Jason's method is "left as an excercise for the reader". (Ever notice how books always say that for the difficult problems? But are more than happy to show solutions for 2 + 2). jim.
anakin78z
sounds like a challenge since I sit next to him, I withdraw.... but let's see how fast you guys can duplicate it (and don't be afraid to improvise, improve, and funkify). Cheers, Jens
Wolfwood
Because its fun. jim.
old school
I even like the occlusion that is going on! Notice how the front nodes obscure the back ones. Nice
Wolfwood
Awww you noticed. jim.
Jason
Now to model the sphere using Merge SOPs and make the wires represent the edges! ;-)
