  1. Hello, I have a scene where I am inflating spheres randomly and I noticed this behavior that keeps bothering me. I noticed that my spheres keeps spinning one direction after inflation. So I did a simple test, and they keep still keep spinning depending on the spheres axis. In the scene below, all I did was turn off gravity and changed rest length scale to 2. I don't know how to stop this, I just need them inflate and float. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Hi everybody! I'm trying to make balloon letters as on the picture. Unfortunately I have a couple of problems. First, it seems pressure constraint distorts balloons in a weird way and forces them to fly away. Second, I can't get such wrinkles, while the balloons look fully filled with air. Here is the file: BalloonTest.hipnc Thanks in advance!
  3. Hey guys, Im new to Houdini and I'm struggling to use the vellum balloon node, I've animated a fur ball falling and in the end is gets squashed by a box that falls in it. I want to then use the vellum balloon to inflate the fur ball again as shown in the sideFX website : https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/shelf/vellumballoon.html please any help would be more than appreciated
  4. Hello all, I've seem to run into a weird problem on my most recent project. One of my objects doesn't render, with a material or without. Yes it's in my force objects, yes it's a polygon mesh(unless vellum does something weird that I didn't know about). I tried switching the shader from the generic to another material but it doesn't matter. It will render my other polygon object, the ripples, and even the smoke sim later on in the sequence. But it won't render the ball, nomatter what I do. I'm using 17 just incase in matters. This is literally the last step of my project and I can't wait to see it done, but this silly thing has to get fixed first. Thanks for your help.
  5. Hello there! After a few hours of playing with the Vellum Balloon object, I'm still trying to figure out how to recreate the effect hat was presented in the H17 Sneak Peek video (the one with the Rubber Toy inflating and being crushed). So far, I haven't been able to produce anything like that effect; playing with the pressure constraints doesn't really had the expected effect, and I'm quite surprised the solution isn't a little more straightforward. If any of you has any tips for achieving the Sneak Peek kind of inflating effect, I'll appreciate it. Thanks!
  6. Hi all, i'm new to houdini and have a question about balloon setup, i successfully constrained the balloon to the root of wires, i have several problems here. 1. right now it works but not "correctly" constrained ( all balloons are constrained to point number 0 using apply relationship node , but it should be balloon1-->wire 1 point 0, balloon2-->wire 2 point 4 ...) 2. how to constrain the tip of each wire to each balloon ? 3. in single balloon setup there is an offset between balloon and wire tip at frame 1, how do i create the wire so that the tip point is located at the balloon bottom ? and also how to use an object as wire root instead of origin, so the root can be animated ? thanks current effect in gif animation: http://gfycat.com/BleakEmotionalElephantseal balloon_02.hip
