There are two positions at Lockheed Martin available in Suffolk, VA. Both are full time positions and on site. I'm posting here because Houdini experience is a huge plus. I'm not the hiring manager but I can answer questions. https://www.lockheedmartinjobs.com/job/suffolk/multimedia-design-engineer-suffolk-va/694/10916693 https://www.lockheedmartinjobs.com/job/suffolk/multimedia-design-engineer-suffolk-va/694/10916704 The facility is very nice and so are the people who work there. They have some information about the facility on the website. https://www.lockheedmartin.com/en-us/capabilities/research-labs/center-for-innovation.html This video shows the kind of work the team does but take this with a grain of salt because it's from projects that are five years old or more. Unfortunately the cool stuff isn't public but I assure you there's cool stuff to work on!

Hi everybody! After years of sneaking inside the forum, trying to find out some solutions to my Houdini problems, I finally write a post. I've graduated in 2013 in 3D Animation at University in Milan (Italy) and after that I spent my time learning Houdini by my own as much as I could, following my passion for simulations and reconstruction of natural phenomenons. I'm a Generalist, a super junior one. I never worked inside a VFX company and I just worked a few customer service jobs in order to pay my bills. In my future I want to work with Houdini and improve on it a lot more. I don't mind to work here in London or Vancouver, my only wish is to have the possibility to improve among people that know more than me and share the same passion. Here are my links: youtube: https://youtu.be/Ko--zIhv8V0 vimeo: https://vimeo.com/215407711 If you want to say anything, even just a suggestion, please let me know!

I won't bother you with copy-pasted boiler plate text about the position. Basically I'm looking for my replacement here at Encore Vancouver doing 3D for TV. It's for a particle/sim/FX leaning 3D generalist, or fully 3D Maya generalist. Houdini is available (and what I normally use). It's mainly a Maya shop, but FBX and Alembic are in steady use. Don't be shy we have several newbs here and a relaxed atmosphere, but the work is varied and fun. Please, if you're interested or know someone in the area looking for drop a line at the email below: (no need to Private Message me, just go straight to the source) bob . habros @ encorevancouver . com
