Hey guys! Was just wondering what's the best way to melt a plastic curtain with Houdini? Something like this - https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51hzskGD15L._SX425_.jpg I want it to melt and shrink in a way the plastic material behaves when it's on fire. There are many melt examples out there using flip but I am not sure how will I achieve the shrinking effect. If you guys can come with any ideas or point me towards the right direction, that would be amazing! Thanks, bifrost
Hi, I'm trying to make a plastic bag that's falling. The first time I tried a while ago it worked by just having an initial force to disturb it a little bit, but now I can't seem to achieve the same effect. I've tried with a wind force with high frequency as well, but it still falls like a paper and keeps it's original shape instead of having a nice flow like a paper bag would. How should I approach this? Should I try working with a velocity field? Is my model causing a problem? Thanks in advance! bag.hipnc
I'm looking at alternative techniques for doing plastic deformation in Rbds. Is it possible to freeze the cone twist constraint to prevent it from springing back to the original position. As in the picture I want to sim the constrained Geo until it the cone twist reaches a defined angle and then freeze the constraint so that it doesn't return the geo to its original state. I'm presently trying to do this in a SOP solver but not having great results. Does anybody know of a way to achieve this? Cheers!
