Hola I designed a procedural method to building thousand of hard surface modelling piece, scifi look like those below and could fit together like a puzzle. Okay, that's cool and working. In the old time, i remember when using max for example i was able to use "reference" (not instance) where all downstream nodes were shared but the referenced piece B from model A could also have an additional node on top. Like for example deformation, creep and so.. I realize im missing how to do this in houdini and if it's possible. I design my pattern in a flat plane, then i will wrap it using Creep or VEX by UV. but only this part will be different. Hopefully my words are clear enough, are they ? Procedural Neighbourhood Generation
Kaloyan posted a topic in Finished WorkHello everyone, I created a digital asset that outputs a neighbourhood with buildings and vegetation, based only on a masterplan drawing. It is divided in three modules, one to create the masterplan geometry, one to create the buildings and one for the vegetation scattering. It allows for alot of controls on the vegetation and on the buildings to create different variations. Here is also a test of the asset inside Unreal, using the Houdini Engine: Cheers!

Houdini Rocket Ship - training series
rohandalvi posted a topic in EducationHello everyone, I would like to introduce my new Houdini training, "Houdini Rocket Ship". As long as you have a basic understanding of Houdini you should be able to follow the training Over the course of this project we will cover a whole range of topics which include Procedural modelling, Polygonal modelling, Environment Generation, Cloud modelling, CHOPs, RBD, Constraints Network, Smoke Simulation, Materials, Lighting using HDRI, setting up Takes, Rendering and Final composite in After Effects. There is currently a one week discount on the training series of $25. The offer will last till 17th October 2015.
