Easy animation software

Recommended Posts

I am thinking about buying an animation product but I'm not sure what to get. Basically I am a newb and want to make some simple cartoons and little unique animations for my websites. Someone told me about Toon Boom but I don't know if it's too complicated and professionally orientated for a newb to use or what. <link removed>This guy seems to think Illusion Mage is easy. Anyone ever use that?

I tried Adobe CS5 for 30 days and it seemed really complicated, basically I would need to go to school to learn how to use it. I want something easy to make a little motorcycle whiz across the screen or something like that.

Thanks for any input.

You look like spam to me.

Would you like to post your site so we can give you a better advice?

The site he points at and calls "This guy" is called Jim, with the email address of 2stroke@datafan.com.

Seeing the author has the name Jim, with a nickname matching the email address, I think we can move on

It's definitely a scam. Maybe even fraud. http://www.katsbits.com/smforum/index.php?topic=215.0

The OP is no doubt fishing for links from Google.

Quote from the link I posted (www.katsbits.com) incase you don't want to click.

Although the GNU/GPL license does allow you to re-sell and re-package Blender and associated materials from the Blender web site, Foundation and Institute, you're effectively obliged to clearly state the origination of the material you're selling. Not doing that, or obfuscating the fact, is not only misleading, but could be considered 'fraud' where money is involved, i.e. the deliberate intent to misinform customers so as to trick them into purchasing (bait and switch?). This is what the owner did with 3DMagix (before it got pulled) and is currently doing with Illusion Mage. And although Blender is mentioned on the site, it's not clearly stated that it's a third party application that's being bundling under GPL as part of Illusion Mage (just what is Illusion Mage then if not the 3D application?). The other material in the package is also likely included without the original authors knowledge, or remuneration for that matter.

Well sadly Jim has been banned. I'm leaving the thread though since it made me chuckle and perhaps will save some people coming here from google looking for the most amazing repackaged Blender softwarez.
