agentex
I would like to hear this very boring and painful story 24020[/snapback] Lookup posts by Jackdeth on CGTalk or search for DAT. At siggraph D2 was the one presenting their work on the movie btw.
Marc
No offense to Jackdeth if he reads this, but anything he says should certainly be taken with a pinch of salt. He owns the company that got some of the work that was taken from us, and so it's definitely in his best interest to support it all and not say anything against them. The short story is, is that there was some... angst, among the VFX director and DD. Which led to a bunch of shots being taken from DD and redone at other facilities. This is all fine but there are a bunch of facilities taking credit for stuff which is basically all our work. I'm still tempted to take the final shot from my reel and compare it to the shot in the film and see if these companies are really smoking crack or not. M P.S. I didn't mean to gt into it... but I did anyway... sigh
