Happy Holidays To od[force] !

I have a warm feeling that 2005 will be a be a great success for Side Effects and Houdini. The amazing development, lateral thought and sharp focus has brought Houdini into the "anything is possible in Houdini" range and I think that the next year we will see other packages attempting to emulate it's unque referencing system (OTLs). It totally brings that big show pipeline concept of needing "the same but different" effect for many shots and I feel its only going to get better in Houdini 8.0 with Takes and other great new unanticipated things.

Once its done, I believe DOPs will stop the industry in its tracks. As usual, its not going to generate instant Oohs and Aahs on the SIGGRAPH demo floor but its paradigm is going to be the envy of the industry. Keep focussed, SESI! The animation is top notch and the character tools are awesome, but nothing is ever so good that it can't get better!

Good luck SESI and thanks for a great year - definately the most exciting year in Houdini's journey so far.

Take care and I'll see you all in January!

I'd also like to send special thanks go out to Arctor our preeminent moderator, and gratitude to my partner in crime Marc , who has been working on a great design and supporting code to replace the root website to make it easier, prettier and more fun for everyone.

But most of all I'd very much like to thank all of you who visit od[force] and finds value in the posts here - from the regular contributors to the quiet readers of the forum and of the ever-evolving wiki.

Happy! Happy! :oneeyedsmiley02:
