Marc
Yeah I saw that. Maya finally has a copy SOP! woo!
malexander
I'm a little surprised it took them that long. There's nothing crazy-difficult about implementing a Copy OP.

abvfx
Their enhancements in shape authoring, both shape and pose editor look pretty nice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAc28JC29L4 There was a nicer demo posted on vimeo the other day. Marc
To be fair I'm sure every Houdini release has a bunch of Maya guys going "Look Houdini finally has viewport handles! lol" ...
fathom
when maya was first being developed, the sales rep kept trying to demo it for me and i kept asking about a procedural workflow (coming from prisms). they kept talking it up, but of course, it never was really there (even tho they kind of have nodes for everything...) i guess this is finally it? like... 20 years later? mestela
'morphing into houdini' is a bit of a stretch. 'morphing into cinema4d' would be more accurate.

I agree, not Houdini; pieces of Houdini but every 3D app takes pieces of each other.
