sessionbeer Posted May 13, 2016 Share Posted May 13, 2016 Hi, Some of you may have seen Hans Godard's amazing CopyToQuads demo the other day: https://vimeo.com/166291982 It looked really interesting so I tried to have a go (in a rather convoluted, and broken way) of doing the same effect. It didnt work so well on quads, and I don't think it's a good solution for doing it this way at all as its pretty slow, and not very procedual. A way in vex would be great in order to keep the setup as fast has Godard's but I haven't really thought of a way to do that yet. Perhaps with Uv's? Mapping the tillable geo to a uv square and then tiling it on to the geo maybe? Anyway I'm putting it out there to see if others are up for a challenge to do the same effect in Houdini.
