hatrick
Hi, How can i stick scatter points inside an animated volume. The attribute interpolate method with prim NUM and Prim UVW for shure does not work here. Some further tips how to grow veins through a moving volume would be great. cheers Edited May 29, 2016 by hatrick
Atom
What if you used an LSystem lightning preset, followed up by polywire then scatter into the polywire?
hatrick
Hi Atom, Thx for your input. I guess my question was somehow missleading. I'd like to grow bloodvessels through a moving body. The struture of a Lsystem lightning could be suitable regarding the shape, but prior to that i have to stick the structure to my animated character. There are a lot of examples around how to do similar things on surfaces but i have not found infos about growthpatterns inside volumes. Like mentioned above, a first step might be to get "fixed" satterpositions inside the animated geo. Im shure there is a more elegant way than deforming the vessel structure with wirecapture. Cheers, Edited May 29, 2016 by hatrick letter
Atom
I just came across this video which suggests you may be able to do this as a texture instead of geometry.

hatrick
i went through this a while ago. pretty deep topic to my eyes. i do not have access anymore but i can roughly remember how it is done. maybe someone can has ideas how to translate it into a volumetric solution. And again back to my first guess. When i scatter into a volume: simple isosurface and scatter afterwards. How i can stick those points to their position relative to the animated sourcegeometry? Many thanks

juztn
Great idea to use pointdeform F1! Had a go at the space colonization a while ago but fun to take it further so thanks for that edit: oops...gif too big...
