art3mis
Hi Am I correct in assuming that NO FBX export options exist for Indie users? Is there any other way to export an animated mesh without having to purchase a full FX license? There is no mention of export limitations under the feature comparison chart for File Formats https://www.sidefx.com/filmtv/compare/ Edited February 20, 2018 by art3mis
stickman
There are no FBX export for NC - Noncommercial (Apprentice). As the chart you link to says, you can export from indie.
art3mis
Thanks. Yes, apparently you are correct. Was mislead by the error message generated Quote "FBX export is only supported in Houdini Core and Houdini FX" Edited February 20, 2018 by art3mis
lavitz01
He has indie which I believe does export. I believe he can export as FBX or alembic (.abc). I believe the only limitation of indie is that it has a rendering limitation of 1280 x 720 with no watermark.
Sepu
Houdini indie it allows you to render 4K since version 16.5.378 just in case and before that was 1080P for animations, stills was unlimited.
