peship
That's RealFlow's particle driven liquids wraped with new UI, nothing to see here, next.

Jason
That is a very interesting article, thanks for the link! 25791[/snapback] That's quite a heavy article.. but seems to tie in with Mark Story's experiences during his development on the RF interface from Houdini somewhat. I saw some of this demo'd back in April '05 at their office. My thought was OK, that's cool, but what about support for existing customers, blah, blah, balh .. you've heard it all before. I haven't heard about Santiago Redondo's trials and tribulations but it makes me *very* uncomfortable about NL. There's always 2 sides to a story (at least), but this sounds so unfortunately familiar ... Fluids for DOPs!!! It won't be too long ... --Mark

peship
Yeah, Glu3D is so mutch better designed and working than RF.

lisux
I have been in the developing team of Next Limit for more than one year and a half. Greetings Mark Now i am in the Houdini world like a instructor, complitely different to my previous work like a developer. why this change? Read the interview to Jesus Pedrosa This is the history of every guy that have worked in Next Limit. Next Limit has a great team, one of the best in terms of developing i have ever seen, but the marketing guy, and many errors from the managers do the rest XFlow is not exactly RealFlow, it not use the same algorithms to calculate the fluids, they are more advanced algorithms. But is for engineering not for 3D. I know many people from studios using Real Flow, and I know that many of them are leaving RealFlow to use other tools, this is the reality. Next Limit is not a company for production, maybe for engineering but definitely not for production. Real Flow + Houdini could be the best fluid simulation tandem for 3D but ... And the Houdini plugins for RealFlow are still the better ones. DOP with fluids better
