Im curious.... Might i ask you how is the GPU/XPU side of Arnold has improved with the release? Compared to other render like Redshift?

you can't compare anrold to a only-gpu renderer.. also arnoldGPU is under no obligation to compete with it.

arnoldCPU is easy-to-use heavy-duty production renderer. arnoldGPU goal is to have 100% features and flexibility of arnoldCPU.  (similar what pixar with renderman does)
redshift/octane be always faster. but arnold GPU takes no compromise in flexibility and quailty. not blackbox shader for volumes etc..

but otherwise arnoldGPU is making huge steps forwards! SSS and hair is gettign superfast, still volumes is really slow.

i dont compare redshift/ arnold etc directly, because for private projects i don't care if have to wait  1 minute  or 4 minutes for a rendering, but i love my flexibility and quality of a renderer....

the color jitter node from Arnold comes in very handy for shader variations with the instancer. no need to create extra attributes.

Submit the issue to Sidefx please. Maybe you dd something wrong , or is the support of Arnold in Solaris. Solaris is commonly used to manage USD pipeline in some major studio?

Whe, doing you render test, you should also comment when kid of render time, machine spec and sampling your are using, it will make more sense...
