sibarrick
Hi all, I've finally gotten around to building my own website! At the moment it is a resting place for all my hdk experiments but hopefully I'll post other things up there as I get the urge. There are one or two things already there that you won't find anywhere else. Changes to code that I never published here or on exchange. Having everything on one site means I can more easily post up re-compiles and fixes etc. I've only just finished the site so there may well be bloopers - wrong uploads, typos etc. please let me know if you use it and spot anything wrong. Enjoy! Houdini Tools

Andz
Looking really good sibarrick. Will you be posting movies on how to use your tools?
sibarrick
I may well do. I have at least now made sure they all have help files and example hips. Tutorial movies is the next logical step!
Marc
Very cool indeed. It's great to have all your tools in one place and not buried among the forum threads. hmm... I think we need a new category in the wiki to put all these new Houdini sites that are popping up.

sibarrick
It's come to my attention that some code may not compile yet on linux. If anyone tries it and gets errors please let me know and I will attempt to find a fix. The problem occurs where I have used code from standard libraries that may not be cross platflorm. In the most part I only use Houdini's own function calls so it shouldn't be to big a deal to get sorted, fingers crossed. I'll post more when I start putting up fixes. sibarrick
I've updated SBCdeformer and UVUniform both of which were using a non Houdini abs function.

sibarrick
I have noticed that under IE (maybe other browser too) the changes I make don't always show up. I think this is a combination of the way the site is masked and the fact that when I first built it I didn't add any meta tags for cache settings. (Heck its all new to me this interweb nonsense) If you have been back lately but not noticed anything different you may need to clear your temporary internet files and/or cookies. If anyone knows the proper way to deal with this please let me know, its a right royal pain in the.....
stevenong
I don't know how to deal with setting up the site but from the browser end, you can hold down Shift then Reload/Refresh to clear the cache for that page. Cheers! steven

sibarrick
It encouraging to see that the users of Firefox, Mozilla, Opera far outweigh those on IE Those are the stats for my site at least.
