abvfx
i was expecting 100k for some reason. 4500 pounds isnt that bad considering what is on offer. When i see prices like that, i think its only a matter of time when its even cheaper and smaller.
Mario Marengo
I could be wrong, but I believe apps need to use CUDA to be able to harness this power though
Marc
I think you're right, but the bragging rights could possibly make up for the shortfall of productivity
malexander
Supposedly OpenCL will be based on CUDA, so those apps supporting OpenCL will also benefit from the Tesla architecture. Of course, the OpenCL spec isn't officially released yet, so there isn't exactly a large install base there...

MrGAG
Hi guys, it has been roughly a year since this topic didn't move : is there now a way to make houdini benefit from this huge amount of power? I bet prices of this kind of crazy nvidia cards has been going down, and will continue to go down ... It shure would be a great thing to be able to launch some dynamic sims with such a computation power Am I totally dreaming ? ( please tell me I am not )
