jacys
I have a aggressive heart to learn houdini, but I really feel helpless recently. Too few resources, however, more few people learn houdini around me. I ask questions in forum, here or sidefx.com, more few people will answer me. I really don't know where is the problem, did they really dont know the answer or just dont want to answer my stupid questions? sigh...there is nothing I could say, just need more hard work. Keep heart, we're here for you! I think you shouldn't by shy about cross-posting here, and on Side Effects' forums when you're burning for answers:)
michael
it's really important to do ALL of the tutorials that come with Houdini and the ones on the SESI site...and all the free ones around... after that, being specific when asking questions and describing what you've already tried helps... MrGAG
keep it up !! Houdini is a tough piece of softwareat the beginning, but once the light is in, it never comes out Indeed, 3dbuzz has a lot of free video training. their "Bridge" digital asset video made me discover the power of houdini in a very "unscarry" way ( sorry , I don't think it's a word ) Anyway , it sure takes lot of of time, but how fun and powerfull !! icelab
Jacys, I am also learning Houdini, but as I think that this software is so powerful, I try to introduce it to my students in a beginner level animation class. My course notes are really very simple; but if you know nothing about Houdini, hopefully these notes can help you: http://sweb.cityu.edu.hk/sm4123/ Kam

pclaes
thanks for the link ... but is it working ?cheers Seems to work fine, just right-click on the pdf's and "save as" to your desktop or so. There's a bit of delay, but not too more than a minute. The pdf's are small in filesize so shouldn't take long.
