  1. Dear Forumers, I am trying to render a reflection of my scene in a pane of glass to comp in Nuke. What I need is an alpha channel that is composed of the objects in the reflection NOT the pane of glass itself. How can I achieve this? I'm guessing also that a cryptomatte which contained the objects IN the reflection would also be just as helpful but I don't know how to get that either? Thanks in advance, Nick PS: I am using Karma PPS: Ideally I would like to do this in the OUT context, NOT Solaris
  2. Hi everyone, I'm newbie to Houdini and Redshift... I need your help! I failed to render Cryptomatte with correct object ID, and want to re-render only Cryptomatte without rendering main images to save time. Is it possible or is there any way to skip rendering main images? I just don't want to waste time to render the same images again..... I appreciate your help! JK
  3. Hi, I'm trying to setup and use stylesheets with redshift and not having much luck. The main thing I'm trying to do is override the redshift Object ID so that I can have unique IDs appear in the cryptomatte per point. All I've done is a voronoi shatter, then assembled them with packing on. I haven't had any luck past this point. If someone can point me in the right direction would be helpful or propose an alternative solution. The only other thing I can find or think of is assigning per point materials but this is out of the question since there will be 2000+ points. The post here seems to mean that this is possible: I've also gone over the Mantra way of doing this here several times without any progress: http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/shade/stylesheets.html
  4. Hey, I need to render with objectsID AOV, with Arnold, and I'm failing miserably :/ In the AOVs liste, there's an ID aov, but can't make it work. So I looked into Cryptomatte since I'm using ALshaders. I can't find info about how to use it, just a tutorial for maya on anderslanglands.com, where it seems simple (just enable crypto_object and crypto_material). But there's no such things in Houdini :/ All I can see about cryptomatte is in the shader nodes, there's an AOV tab with confusing things... Can you help ?
