MG
Could you get those in DivX perhaps? Because I can't view them.
danteA
Those tests look great, chang! Was the resistance pop used for any of the wind test?
chang
Sorry MG, I have no idea how to convert it to divx. I suggest downloading quicktime installer from apple.com/quicktime/ -- Dante, In this case, I turned off ResistencePOP. I've had similar effect with RotationPOP set to.. angle: $ROTA+$VX*5 axisXYZ: $ROTX+$VX*720, $ROTY+VY*360, $ROTZ It worked quite okay and much faster. I suspect that if the instance is more delicate (not just planar), I should work with resistance.
foetz
... sirogi
angle: $ROTA+$VX*5axisXYZ: $ROTX+$VX*720, $ROTY+VY*360, $ROTZ cool! hey chang, could you please try this in your setup: ( just cooking here like when you throw all your fridge in a pan...) switch the axis type to vector and try this: vector3($ROTX,$ROTY,$ROTZ)+ cross(vector3(360*$VX,720*$VY,$VZ),vector3(0,1,0)) only tell us if anything cool happens.. ....otherwise you never saw this post, ok? cheers! red4kat
only tell us if anything cool happens.. Sirogi, Don't you have the luxury of not being in front of the computer all the time but also have Houdini installed in it. Aren't your curiosity just killing you at all to try all those things out that you suggest? I mean I am using this one computer that only has capasity to go to the internet and has only office word, exell and so on, not even photoshop (untill I get home of course) Not to mention not being able to see 80% of the stuff people put out... chang
Oh my, Sorry guys. I never knew linux/quitime thing. I'll find a way to convert it to divx.
miguel m
Hey chang, that's great of you . Windows media files can be played as well on linux and i guess every unix that can compile mplayer. I think there's a free standalone windows media encoder from Microsoft. Edit: well, since we're into gnu stuff, I'll add the encoder is a no-cost, but not free in the sense free software is understood. Sounds pedantic but that's the ugly truth. mark
for linux, in addition to mplayer if you get the "mplayer-plugin" package (its for mozilla but also works for firefox etc. - anything that uses mozilla plugins) you can stream QT stuff edit: hey nice old-post-bumpage there carlos
