Overload
Hey Everyone, I just completed this commercial/spot for Verizon Wireless. Its the first project completed with Houdini at our studio since purchasing the software. I pretty much flew solo on this one being the only Houdini person here at the time, not to much procedural about it but it just didn't seem possible with the 3dmax pipeline we have been running. So hope everyone likes it, this should be playing in most Verizon stores by now. Within the next month or so, I am hoping to switch our pipeline to only modeling and UV layout with 3dMax, and all other animation, effects, and rendering with Houdini. Cheers http://www.overloadgraphics.com/Verizon_InMessaging.mov Anthony

edward
Someone make Overload a wiki editor so that we can add it to the wiki? http://odforce.net/wiki/index.php/Producti...ini#Commercials PS. Was Mantra used?
Overload
Thanks . Yep...go mantra!! There are plenty of things I would have done different, but I only had a couple days to build this and get it ready to render.
stevenong
That looks cool! Great to know you're converting the studio by yourself! Keep it up! Cheers! steven
kodiak
Great to know you're converting the studio by yourself! Nice commercial, grats! The trick is..you just do the job in Houdini and tell everyone else to go home..that works, no opposition whatsoever Oh, and good to see there are other fellas converting as well. Overload
wow...thanks everyone I guess being the first project entirely animated and rendered in Houdini here at the studio I'm pretty happy with how it turned out...of course the time/deadline issue took away from other things I wanted to add but oh well, nature of the beast
