photex
Going to add one for the 'a' section. I just received the book excitedly flipped through it and already I'm getting a picture of things I didn't expect. It's a really awesome reference. Thanks Craig! With this book and 'the magic of houdini' I feel like Houdini has a red and blue book like opengl. hehe _chip

Does it it mention going to the Coffee SOP on the way to work?
eetu
Yea, good stuff! I'm halfway thru, and I've already had my fair share of those bittersweet "I wish I'd known this when.." -moments eetu.

Matt_K
Anyone know if there's an expression I can use on the Coffee SOP to prevent spillage? (Sorry - too much reading/testing/learning about Houdini at the moment!) Matt.

enzym
I bought and studied "Houdini On The Spot" book since few months ago. It's a great book with plenty of useful materials and infos for various projects. Definitely an added skill for future projects. Unfortunately there are few of the tutorials I found problem, would it be possible to get a contact of Craig Zerouni? For example: tutorial page 160 and 161, the one regarding the use of *.i3d file inside Atmosphere SOP does not give me any result. I am using Houdini HD Apprentice (for starving artist) version 9.1.244. Is there anyway to contact Craig directly? Kind regards, - Zym
iluvblender
Hello All. My first post on the forum. I recently started learning Houdini and have acquired "The Magic of Houdini" and "On the Spot". Currently reading the former and as soon as i finish it and get a grip on Houdini, I will dive into the latter book. The od[force] forums are really good and replete with information. Cheers, Satish. oldiesgoodies
Hi In the book in the SOP section it says that you can use sin($F) formula to drive the softpeak distance. But when I put it in proper place, Hoduini is giving me cooking error. Does anyone have some idea why that might be the case? thanks Edited February 16, 2010 by oldiesgoodies
