Hy guys! This is my entry for the HOUDINIMATIC Challenge #5: Halloween Rules: Free subject on the theme of Halloween, 1-month deadline. The result had to be a sequence and everything had to be done under Houdini except the compositing and the modeling if it does not lend itself to the procedural (the tree in my case). Specs: Intel Core i7 2600K@3.4GHZ, 32GB RAM Dev: Layout: 1d / Spiderweb: 4d / Leaves: 6d / Candles: 4d / Dirt: 3d / Fog: 1d Rendered with Karma (BETA). Rendertime: 5d16h30m This was a great challenge experience and perforce, the occasion to learn new techniques during the project. Huge thanks to the community for the feedback and tips to improve the shot! Characters by Mixamo. Hi all! Posting this challenge here means i've spent a lot of time searching for a solution at this problem, no succed. It's quite simple: You have a set of points, a randomly event occurs for each one of them and once that happens I want to set the frame of the incident into a point attribute. I think is simple but i've been stucked for a few days, hope you guys can find a solution and bright me one more time. Thanks! I attach an example (failed) file. setFrameIntoAtribute.hipnc

Every Houdnik loves boxes, right? Let's try and create pretty pictures along the lines of these beautiful renders from Lee Griggs: You can see many more at his web page. The idea might look quite trivial to the more seasoned users, but there is much room for twiddling in getting things to be visually pleasing. Or - create your own twist on this theme. For the beginner it should be a good lesson in Copy SOP or instancing. Attaching your hip files is encouraged, but not mandatory.
