  1. Hello; I'm just getting into PDG and have an interesting problem I'm trying to solve. I have a list of files that I'm trying to sort using PDG. The files are labelled x0y0,x0y1,x0y2.....x7y7. When I load them with the "filepattern" TOP, it sorts them as x0y0, x0y1, x0y2, x0y3 etc. Instead, I would like to re-sort them as x0y0,x1y0,x2y0,x3y0,x4y0 ..... x0y1,x1y1,x2y1,x3y1,x4y1 etc. What would be the best approach for this? Any python algorithm that may be suitable for this that can be executed in TOPS? Maybe a feedback loop?
  2. Hello. I don't know Houdini very well yet, so I apologize if the answer seems obvious, but I haven't found any solutions on the forum pages or in any other sources. A question about sorting. How can I sort the numbers of primitives sequentially? In order, say from the center. If you use a node "Sort", he breaks out of the order. And another question is optional. Maybe there are some simple ways to dilute the order, making it a snake or chaotic? This is just interesting, but first of all I am interested in the question of the center. If you can still catch the logic here. Take the ranges each 5. 5-9 15-19 and flip. Howewer here it is already difficult to understand the logic. But it would be great if there is a tool that can do this. I would be happy to hear your ideas and suggestions. At least which way to look.
  3. over time the examples and tutorials become more and more. And you know, the amount of them become huge.I look forward to organize them in a practical way. But didnt found a way till now. Oraganizing with categories as DOP, SOP, etc., or via the author. Collect them without sorting (terrible)? I dont find a way to organice them in a satisfying manner. How do you organize your collections of it? Thanks in advance
  4. Hi guys and gals, I have been sitting with the problem for quite some time and thought it was time to ask some smarter people than myself. I have a geo that I am wanting to run a curve through the middle of. What I have managed to do so far is create points running through the center of the geo but the points are not in order. I need them to run in order to create a line out of the points as I am wanting to generate a gradient along the line from point 0 to the last point. I have attached some screenshots. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
  5. Is there a simple way of closing an open curve with out creating a renderable/visible surface. After closing the ends I just want to get a simple like the circle on the right. The Ends Sop creates a surface..How can I avoid this? Is placing the first and last points at the same position the only solution? Btw the curve is animated and random pointnum sorting. Can I somehow get for every frame the pointnum of my first and last point so I can push them in the same position?
