aracid
very well done !!how many layers do you have in the composing ? 18657 hey mike basically every block of seats have 5 "layers", therefor there are 35 different render layers. interms of spec, diffuse, amb passes--> i havent broken the renders up into those passes. heres an example of the tree although theres a couple of layers, its pretty much all rendered through one rop subnet. theres also a prerender script that "disables" the block's that arnt being rendered. all the best aracid

sascha
Works very well! I think the shot would work even better if the camera moves.

deecue
hey aracid, good job on the reel.. a quick suggestion on the site tho: instead of linking directly to your quicktime, link it to a webpage with the quicktime embeded.. it allows crappy browsers (IE) to display it as a progressive download rather than having to wait for the whole thing to download and then view it.. a good time saver if any employers don't want to sit and wait for it.. incase you didn't know how, link to the quicktime embedding page with attributes: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/tutorials/embed.html
Marc
But then us suckers on Linux won't be able to watch it 'cause there is no plugin in the browser to watch it... hmmm.... IE or Linux, tough choice
lisux
But then us suckers on Linux won't be able to watch it 'cause there is no plugin in the browser to watch it... hmmm.... IE or Linux, tough choice 20424 I'm agree with you Mark. But, let me remember, is there a maplayer plugin for mozilla that allows to play videos no? Marc
yeah, but it cleverly isn't installed in our mozilla. And since I'm at work, there's not much chance of it happening it seems. The best way for us to watch a quicktime (or any movie) is to download it and use mplayer. Downloading it becomes a pain when it's embedded. deecue
Downloading it becomes a pain when it's embedded. ahhh good point.. didnt think of that.. maybe i should reconsider and make my stuff direct links.. hmmmm... but on a whole atleast it's good for "most" people i would think (across mac, win, linux as long as the right plugin is installed.. too bad for inside companies tho).. i just happened to notice the ie issue because i was on my gf's laptop and she refuses to use FF even though i keep telling her to..
