Procedural rocks carved in vdb

Hey guys,

I'm trying to understand how to make procedural rocks carved in volumes using the technique exposed at Siggraph by Saber Jlassi.

You can find the video here

Hi approach is to use a combination of worley and aanoise in VOP.

The result should look similar to this image. I joined the image of his vop network too.

I didn't manage to reproduce what he is doing, been trying all day.

Is there anyone here who would be up for giving it a go with me ?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Chris

Very interesting topic. In fact I tryied to make something similar a few months back. I'll try to post images

I'm really struggling with this same exact thing as the OP, could you possibly share your workflow for some of the images you posted?

maybe it helps  plus you have here on forum examples . Just search ( rock stone and search for @Macha)

this is pretty amazing, thank you a lot. i still have troubles creating the "holes and concave" effect with worley noise in a volume vop as Jlassi Saber showed in his talk at siggraph 2017.
I will keep trying. i think i ll post my file tomorrow, maybe someone can help me understand what i am doing wrong.

have a nice day you folks :)
