miguel m
That's no fun Marc . As a child you probably enjoyed tearing off the wings of some flies you hunted around, didn't you... Jason, does this apply to ppl in usa only or...?
Marc
naa... believe me, if they let me in then they'll let anyone in. I'm fairly certain its for anyone to apply. DD knows their way around visa applications .
MG
Here's the last person they'd wanted to hire......... me! But really, what kind of people are they looking for? And what kind of degree/age is required and all?

Jason
Hey again, Not having a degree can make a Visa application for internationals a bit harder, but they're pretty good at spotting talent and so it shouldn't stop you from applying . DaJuice
Hey, spank you very much. I'm trying to put together my demo reel (first one!), and I haven't had much time to learn any Houdini since then. It'll be done soon, then I can hit the tuts again. jimmyb
hello, Just wondering. What kind of salaries does Digital Domain give for Houdini Artists? Ball park area is fine. thanks
Carlos
Before anyone jumps on you and strangles you.... This would depend on your experience, and field. And this is probably NOT the first question you want to ask. Though I am not sure how DD works in this regard. Most likely DD works in this manner as well. Cheers, --Carlos
jimmyb
Oh, ofcoarse not. I would definelty not ask that as my first question! I just want to know what sort of salaries LA cg 3d artists usuallly recieve. I've worked in NYC and Canada, and just wanted to know know what would be a reasonable salary in the LA area for people with Houdini experience. thanks
MG
Is D2 open to students for so-called practical (term of probation) experiences? I have to do a term of probation next year. I would simply love to do that at D2. Actually, it'd be a dream come true...

Studios, just like D2, are looking for experienced Houdini users! So, if you do your best, show motivation and interest... you might make it!
