edward
This is my first fur rendering, I wrote the fur shader based on the kjiya's lighting model. =.=! How is it different from Kajiya's hair model? I believe the default VEX Hair SHOP uses Kajiya's hair model.
abvfx
now that's how you render fur!! Great job. I too am wondering now, what is the VEX hair shop based on? Edited May 29, 2008 by phrenzy84

ykcosmo
The technique is simple, not "special" as you thought. It has more color and specular controls than the default one, nearly the same from the kjiya's model. I cost lot of time to the lighting and color, to make it look more "soft"...... Thank you guys like it. I am survied fromt the earthquake........need some rest to going on.......

Hi there, I'm really liking your rendered hair...... I haven't much experience with shader building or editing and I am wondering if you would mind sending me a file so I can reference the shader network and lighting setup you have going on. I too am currently working on a character that requires this type of Hair look.
