  2. TRIXTER Munich is currently looking to hire experienced Character FX TDs. Booking time: From As soon As Possible. Duration of the contract will depend on the project. Location: Munich Description: Under the supervision of the CG Supervisor, the Creature FX TD is responsible for providing a wide variety of dynamic simulations and rigs for photo-realistic creatures; including clothing, fur, hair, muscle and skin. Responsibilities: · Creation of fur, feathers and grooming for photo-realistic creatures · Develop simulation setups for photo-realistic creatures; including clothing, fur, hair, muscle and skin. · Involvement in the development of departmental tools and techniques · Regularly communicating with Production and Leads regarding schedules and deadlines · To be able to work with the visual effects supervisor, and the lead CG artist to determine the best creative approaches and techniques for all the different steps in a 3D production pipeline. · Be able to deliver work within established project targets and the high quality standards of the company. The ideal candidate will show strong attention to detail backed up with excellent technical understanding and ability to achieve optimum results. Booking time: ASAP - end of September Location: Trixter Berlin Description: The product we're creating is not a game - we are creating fictional in-game scenes for a live-action film, and we are using Unreal as the Game-Engine. The shots created will not require live-rendering. We are not striving for Photo-Realism – the look of the shots will be comparable to late PS3-generation games, or early PS4-generation games. Responsibilities: Importing rigged and animated characters from Maya into an existing Game world running in Unreal Engine. Staging the characters and placing cameras. Optimizing the shots within the context of a given scene. Tweaking textures/materials and the existing lighting. Minor simulations. Exporting the shots as image sequences. Description: The After Hours Render Wrangler & IT Support position is a part-time but mission critical role to offer both after hours IT support and assist in the effective use of the computing resources (renderfarm) utilized in rendering computer generated images for our active projects. To start as soon as possible. Long-term contract. Primary Responsibilities: - Monitor, manage and keep the renderfarm running at maximum capacity - Monitor jobs on the “Pixar Tractor” render manager: identify stalling jobs, follow up and report failed jobs to artists/Production. - Check and re-start failed render tasks. - Update and maintain Render Manager job priorities according to instructions from Production. - Monitor disk space usage and flag high disk or network usage over-night. - Restart unreliable blades and report them to the IT as necessary for later diagnosis. - Provide first level technical support to artists and production team members working after - Provide additional information to, and where required, liaise with the IT team to assist in trouble-shooting larger technical issues.
