MIguel P
More updates in the following messages. --------- Hello everyone. Here is my last scene. I've done it yesterday and today. Particles with sprites (the same shader that I explained in my meteor tutorial). And some destruction. The composition is Fusion. Hope you like it. I love sprites! altbighead
Great job .It is looking solid. not really effect related but slight vibration on front building might help integrate the scene better.

mentor
Great work! U can add some elements for fun - flying tractor, chickens, pig or cow And maybe it would be better to make different left tower's debris size? MIguel P
Looks awesome Miguel!... SideFx will be beating down your door in no time Hehe, thank you Overload. well, I think this version is much better: http://www.miguelperezsenent.com/Media/Ani...ornado_divx.avi Added sprite dust on the ground, a flying part of the roof, camera shake, the buildings now shake, and some other thinks. stevenong
Hi Miguel, I find the dust layer is bit too uniform/constant. Maybe some breaks in them or more varying speed? They seem to be cropped conveniently just below the roof of the house. I feel the line should be broken up more. Also, I don't like the roof piece being right in front of the building. I don't know if it's the scale or the angle which it's flying towards the tornado but it gets lost. Maybe fly it more screen right then suck it towards the tornado at a greater velocity? Or rotate it more? The roof of the house should warp a bit. Plus, with the hole in the roof, the wind should affect it more. Other than the above, it looks great! Cheers! steven
MIguel P
Thank you for the comments, guys! Yes, I have to do some adjustments with some elements. The dust is not cropped, but I am agree with you about the flying roof piece, and I think it looks too cg. I've done a version simulating a camera motion and zoom and I want some opinions. -Stopped camera version: http://www.miguelperezsenent.com/Media/Ani...do_low_divx.avi -Moving camera version: http://www.miguelperezsenent.com/Media/Ani...ow_mov_divx.avi Tell me what version do you like more. lisux
Very impressive miguel. The center part of the tornado is rendered with sprites or with afterburn? I like the version with camera movement, in fact if you add a little of camera shake I think that the mood of the scene will be improved. cellchuk
the funnel looks solid. very good job man..
lynbo
Moving camera definitly - but with perhaps more high freq vibration here and there. Additionally what would you think of some dust and very small debris coming off of the surfaces of the buildings? Great work of course. MIguel P
Thank you again. lisux, everything is done in Houdini. The tornado and the dust are sprites with VOP shaders And there is a bit of camera shake. thank you lynbo. There are a lot of possible improvements to add, I will do some tests...
