rayman
The feature list is endless! I did not expected so much Bullet improvements... Its really fast now and packed object deforming options is really great! One thing I found a bit odd is the default behaviour of Constraint Network 'Override with SOP' parameter when it is created using shelf tools - simulations behaves as if this parameter is always 1 and glue net is too jittery. Anyway I set it to 0 and everything is back to normal. No time to sleep.. Edited January 15, 2015 by rayman

cwhite
One thing I found a bit odd is the default behaviour of Constraint Network 'Override with SOP' parameter when it is created using shelf tools - simulations behaves as if this parameter is always 1 and glue net is too jittery. Anyway I set it to 0 and everything is back to normal. The new default expression for that parameter tries to be more user-friendly - it detects whether the SOP path is time dependent, and it will re-import the geometry on each frame for you if that's the case. Using the shelf tools on a shattered torus works as expected for me - the parameter evaluates to 1 on the first frame and 0 afterwards - what steps did you take to encounter that issue? rayman
I recreated it using only shelf tools and result is the same (OSX build) : -Create a sphere (manually) -Shatter using (shelf) -RBD Fractured object (shelf) -Ground Plane (shelf) -Glue Adjacent (shelf) DOP_glue_jitter.hipnc
magneto
This release is rock solid. Right off the bat: is the font changed again? The texts seem tiny bitter smaller, almost like the kerning is smaller i.e. the text is slightly harder to read. Nothing bad really just an observation. I tried High DPI but too big for my monitor Anyone with 4K monitors can report how it looks? There is still a ton of features I want to go through but the new viewport looks light years ahead of the competition. Very slick work by Mark himself I assume

I'm not sure if it's caused by that expression, but I'll look into it further...
Guest tar
There is still a ton of features I want to go through but the new viewport looks light years ahead of the competition. Very slick work by Mark himself I assume On OsX the new OpenGL3+ viewport is worth the upgrade itself, but the cream is OpenCL now available also on OsX Just make sure to use Yosemite as Apple really picked their driver game up in that release
magneto
On OsX the new OpenGL3+ viewport is worth the upgrade itself, but the cream is OpenCL now available also on OsX Just make sure to use Yosemite as Apple really picked their driver game up in that release I am using Win7 aka the greatest OS Also this is what I mean: I think H13 looks more readable, crisp/sharp. I assume this new change is due to Qt adoption? Personally I am not a fan of monospace fonts as seen in the node names. Also is there a way to turn off the animation that happens when you dive inside an HDA? I would also appreciate if anyone knows how to turn off the faded look of locked networks. I know it's useful but I already know if a network is locked or not, and seeing the node names clearly is more important to me. Once again one of the greatest release hands down Edited January 16, 2015 by magneto
GallenWolf
Man, this change from 13-14 reminds me when 8 moved to 9! However, does anyone feel that H14's bullet simulates slower? I did a cursory test, using a hip file from H13. H14 definitely sims slower vs 13. Can't wait to test the new solvers though :
acey195
Also is there a way to turn off the animation that happens when you dive inside an HDA? Yes there is, in preferences/Network Editor, Nodes, and Trees/Animate Network Changes
