ParticleSkull
Hey guys, how can I have some beautiful round edges on an extruded logo? It doesn't work at all with polybevel Here's how I'm doing it, the scene file is also attached Thx! Logo.rar
Atom
I think for such a simple logo, you may want to consider re-drawing it using the curve tool. Then the polybevel may work correctly. The trace is a nice option but in the end it always ends up stair stepping along curves.
ParticleSkull
Alright, it's so obvious that I wasn't even considering it haha I have never worked with nurbs, do you think it could be a good option? Thx Atom! - Alvaro
Atom
For tracing logos I prefer bezier curves because the resulting curve goes through the points. With nurbs there is some kind of offset between the curve and the point. With the curve flowing through the point you can drop the points on the exact corners of the font or shape, in front or side view. For best tracing results, set the viewport to an orthographic view before you begin drawing. Edited May 4, 2018 by Atom
Noobini
now all you need is to find out from client the EXACT font (I used arial).....plug it in...Bob's your uncle... vu_logo.hipnc Edited May 5, 2018 by Noobini

vicvvsh
Hi Alvaro! In in your first hip do this: in a Trace sop go to Filter and turn on options Resample Shapes and Smooth Shapes and play with the slayders. You will get nice bevels.
