JFWfilms
Hi, I'm trying to learn shading and rendering in Houdini, but I've just set up a simple scene with just a sphere, and it's taking up to 20 minutes to render it? Thanks

bunker
took 30s, even on my 8 years old macbook pro yeah it's a bit noisy ok, but it has an extra ground plane, 2 lights and shaders 3 AA samples, max 4 rays, reflect limit 1, diffuse limit 2 1 environment light, 1 disk light BallRenderTest_002.hipnc Edited December 20, 2018 by bunker
dyei nightmare
15 seconds in my computer with diffuse limit of 2 but lets be honest, mantra is not as fast as redshift, but matra is a "secure" renderer, but now that we have a denoiser, i have more fait on this, ive seen mantra and redshift on the "battlefield" i can see the benefits of one and other.
