Mcronin
What's with those crappy shadows?. Really, really nice otherwise.

Jason
I think it's awesome....except fo the spec 21037[/snapback] Whiner. You need a LUT that compresses the high-range values. The clipping of your linear colour-bands shift the spec color a lot when it's so saturated.
mark
thats some really nice work -- photoreal. and some nostalgia
michael
bah... lego is plastic = sharp spec... stu is just crazy...setting of the render before he goes to work so it doesn't matter how long it takes... it really is a fantastic image though... slade
Stu, thats freaking hot!!!!!! want more. irradiance cache ?
stu
Thanks for the comments, all (except mcronin - see you at the bike racks). Modelled in houdini, rendered in mantra using irradiance, no cache. Arctor is right , the spec is crappy - I'm working on a vesion with legitimate specular reflections now - it's way more convincing. I'll post it when it's done.
